If you work in weddings long enough, you collect stories that live in your bones forever.

Some of them are hilarious. Some are deeply moving. Some are so chaotic you still can’t believe they actually happened. And some remind you that there is something sacred woven into a wedding day that no one could ever fully plan for.

This episode was such a fun one to record because it came from one of the questions I get asked all the time: “You must have some really good wedding stories.” And the truth is… yes. So many.

After more than 15 years in weddings, there are a handful of stories that have become absolute legend inside our company. The kind of stories we tell new team members. The kind of stories that still make me laugh until I cry. The kind that remind me why this work is so wild and human and meaningful.

So in this episode, Desi and I pulled back the curtain a little bit. We talked about the great cake disaster, wardrobe malfunctions, mistaken hotel rooms, Michael Myers appearing out of the woods, and the deeply beautiful moments that happen on wedding days that feel bigger than coincidence.

What I love most about this conversation is that it shows the full range of what wedding days really hold. Yes, there are stressful moments. Yes, there are things that go sideways. But there is also laughter, tenderness, magic, and so many reminders that beauty often shows up in ways we never could have orchestrated ourselves.
